NAIA Bowl

February 2014 Meeting Minutes

THERE WERE 11 NAIA COACHES ALONG WITH 2 NAIA OFFICERS, MIKE KUBAKI AND DALE LEHMAN, ALONG WITH GARY BROWN THAT WERE PRESENT AT THE START OF THE MEETING.

THE FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS WAS THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR A TERM FOR 2 YEARS FROM 4/14 TO 4/16. CHAD HARDIN MOTIONED TO KEEP THE OFFICERS THE SAME, IT WAS SECONDED BY GREG KIRNBERGER, ALL WERE IN FAVOR. THE OFFICERS WILL REMAIN THE SAME. MIKE KUBACKI PRESIDENT, J.J. MASTNY VICE PRESIDENT, AND DALE LEHMAN SECRETARY.

MIKE KUBACKI ASKED FOR NOMINATIONS TO FILL A NEW TRUSTEE POSITION. KYLE WILSON AND STEVE MICHELFELDER WERE NOMINATED. A VOTE WAS TAKEN AND KYLE WILSON WON 6 VOTES TO 2 VOTES AND WILL FILL THE NEW TRUSTEE POSITION WITH A 2 YEAR TERM.

A MOTION WAS BROUGHT BY CHARLES CAIN TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES AS WRITTEN AND SECONDED BY STEVE MICHELFELDER. ALL WERE IN FAVOR.

THERE WAS THEN DISCUSSION ON THE WEBSITE, COACHES POLLS, AMOUNT OF SCHOOLS NEEDED TO BECOME A VARSITY SPORT, NAIA TOURNAMENT UPDATE, AND WHEN TO RELEASE THE OIL PATTERNS AT THE NAIA INVITATIONAL.

A MOTION WAS BROUGHT BY CHARLES CAIN TO CONTINUE RELEASING THE OIL PATTERN AT THE COACHES MEETING AFTER THE BALL CARDS ARE TURNED IN, SECONDED BY STEVE MICHELFELDER, ALL WERE IN FAVOR.

DISCUSSION ABOUT NEXT YEARS NAIA INVITATIONAL, ABOUT FINDING A CENTRALLY LOCATED SITE, BIDS WILL BE SENT OUT SHORTLY, REMINDER TO COACHES TO BE DILIGENT IN CHECKING THIER EMAILS FOR UPDATES.

DISCUSSION ABOUT THE DATES FOR JUNIOR GOLD AND A POSSIBLE COACHES MEETING.
